FKH represents the Global Life Sciences Center at Ernst & Young (EY). The Center provides a wide range of professional services and leverages thought leadership publications to communicate its capabilities in addressing the trends driving change in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical technology industries. Once known primarily for the comprehensive financial analysis and data summarized in its annual biotechnology report, Beyond Borders, EY sought to transform industry perceptions of it from one defined by data to one that offers a clear and compelling point of view supportive of the strategic business goals of its clients.
Approach
FKH has effectively positioned EY’s leadership and perspective across a wide array of industry topics, drawing on our deep understanding of the key trends and issues in healthcare, and leveraging a strong network of relationships across influential media.
Impact
Media coverage of EY has more than doubled since the start of FKH’s engagement. Notably, FKH helped EY introduce the concept of “Pharma 3.0″ in its 2010 pharmaceutical industry report, providing a means of characterizing the emerging innovation and commercial models that are replacing traditional approaches. EY officials have been featured discussing these trends and their implications in more than 30 original articles, including The Economist, Bloomberg, Reuters, Business Week, The Pink Sheet, Pharmaceutical Executive, and BioWorld Today.
