She has worked with groundbreaking science, ranging from Celera Genomics’ decoding of the human genome to Aviron’s corporate launch via development of an innovative nasal flu vaccine. Marilyn helped establish the reputations of these and other transformative companies in drug delivery, diagnostics, and devices. The first nationwide prostate cancer education campaign, an award-winning five-year initiative that brought the need for better diagnosis of prostate cancer to the country’s attention in the 1990s, was one of many high-profile health programs developed for major pharmaceutical companies under her leadership.
During her tenure in academic medicine, Marilyn assisted organizations in transition, experiencing the provider and research communities as an insider. At Columbia University Medical Center she led internal and external adoption of a new institutional brand and was a hands-on senior manager dealing with such front-page issues as animal research, provocative human trials, and professional conflict of interest. At NYU Langone Medical Center, she worked with board and senior leadership on rebranding of the institution and reshaping of its marketing and visibility to reposition scientific and clinical achievements.
Her work at Feinstein Kean has involved her with clients in the vanguard of change, innovators contending with evolving standards of regulation and value and defining new avenues of collaboration.
